Artist: Pierre Baey
Elegant sculptural glazed ceramic bowl, attributed to Pierre Baey. Free organic form, with pleated and animated contours, evoking fabric or molten material. Dimensions: width 11 cm height 6.5 cm Period: circa 1970-1980 Style: Contemporary French ceramics Pierre Baey is a French ceramist active in the second half of the 20th century, recognized for his free and experimental creations. Influenced by the modern art movements and the research of post-war contemporary ceramics, he explores organic forms, often modeled by hand, and complex textures playing with light and material. His works, sometimes unique, combine technical mastery and expressive spontaneity. Although little publicized, Pierre Baey is appreciated by collectors for the authenticity and the plastic strength of his pieces, which are part of the tradition of French art workshops.
