Reliquary 1st Class Relic Of Saint Stanislaus Kostka + Wax Seal

This 19th-century devotional reliquary contains a 1st Class Relic (Ex Ossibus) of:

Saint Stanislaus Kostka – Jesuit Novice and Patron of Youth

The relic is housed in an ornate oval reliquary featuring a gilt brass frame with floral edges and a domed glass cover. The relic, a bone fragment, is mounted on a pink silk background, encircled with gold-thread wire and labeled in Latin: S. Stanisl. Kost. Decorative red paper motifs are visible around the perimeter, adding to the visual and devotional significance.

The reverse of the reliquary features the original red episcopal wax seal and four-thread configuration, confirming its ecclesiastical authenticity. A silk ribbon loop is attached for devotional suspension.

Saint Stanislaus Kostka (1550–1568) was a Polish Jesuit novice known for his intense piety and miraculous experiences. Canonized in 1726, he is a revered patron of Jesuit youth and novices.

Condition:
Good devotional condition. Minor wear to the brass frame and silk consistent with age. Wax seal and threads remain intact.
