Late 19th-century oil painting on canvas depicting an interior scene, signed Hendrikus Anthonius (Henri) Dievenbach (1872-1946) was a Dutch painter and draftsman, born in Haarlem on July 25, 1872 and died in Laren on January 16, 1946. He studied at the Haarlem School of Drawing and the Amsterdam School of Applied Arts, then continued his training at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam from 1892 to 1896, under the direction of artists such as August Allebé and Nicolaas van der Waay.
With beautiful colors, he conveys serenity and old-world charm.
