"Louis XV Style Tea Table Stamped Paul Sormani"
Elegant Louis XV style two-tiered tea table, Napoleon III period. Stamped in the drawer: Paul Sormani “134 boulevard Haussmann Paris” It is in rosewood veneer, inlaid in frieze, resting on four elegantly curved arched legs. Each leg is decorated with finely chiseled gilt bronzes, representing leafy hooves and falls. The two tops are surrounded by a chased bronze gallery, with highly openwork decorative uprights in a typical rocaille style, evoking volutes, foliage and shells. The whole exudes a great visual lightness, although the execution is of a notable decorative richness. This piece is a representative example of the luxurious furniture produced by Sormani. Table in perfect condition with beautiful original gilding.
