Universal Chrono Compax Mechanical Watch 50s Steel On Leather

Watch signed by the prestigious UNIVERSAL GENEVE house, in steel, from the 50s. This COMPAX men's model is a chronograph equipped with two measuring dials added to that of the second hand: this watch was such a reference that its name Compax has become a generic term for any chronograph watch presenting these three sub-counters (minute totalizer, hours and constant small seconds) arranged in a V on the main dial... the constant small seconds is therefore located here at 9 o'clock, while the two sub-counters linked to the complication (the chronograph in this case) are located at 3 and 6 o'clock. This watch was the very first to present this configuration, upon its release in 1936. Although from the 50s, this watch, with its hands and indexes enhanced with phospho, still presents a 40s aesthetic. Its domed case back in the style of the Rolex Bubbleback is very soft to wear. The push button at the top right allows you to start and then resume the chrono measurement, while the one at the bottom allows you to reset it to zero. The watch is signed and numbered, on its dial, on its case back and on its movement. In perfect condition and revised, its proper functioning is guaranteed by us for one year (except in case of shock or immersion).
