"Large, Well-framed Provençal Landscape "les Dentelles" H/canvas Mid-20th Century By Franklin Roudybush"
This beautiful, superbly framed canvas is a beautiful spontaneous work from the 1950s by the well-known Parisian painter, traveling in Provence, leaving his studio at 15, Avenue du Président Wilson, Paris XVIth; label on the back "Franklin Roudybush". A vast landscape flooded with sunlight from the fields to the striking golden yellow graphic furrows in an atmosphere of a lively sky with the Dentelles de Montmirail for the horizon. A remarkable sensitivity of the Artist for this Drôme Provençale with Mont Ventoux on the left, a work with rich impulsive material in the manner of Van-Gogh, rich in emotion. A canvas of good size and superbly highlighted in its frame with gilded sculpted bars patinated with black margin; we really feel a sensitivity close to the "Grand Master" and an assured modernism, going to the essential for a result which provokes wonder by the light that the Artist knew how to capture, in a rich palette and a real sincerity; that of the authenticity of a nature worked by the furrows which have marked its spirit and the effect of light... This colorful and luminous Work is very appropriate and in good condition, a canvas that we can be proud to present...
