Oil on canvas by Edouard Goerg Born on June 9, 1893, in Sydney of French parents, died on April 13, 1969, in Callian, in the Var. He moved to Paris in 1900. In 1913-1914 he studied painting at the Ranson Academy with Maurice Denis and Paul Sérusier, professor of engraving at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris. from 1949. He was elected in 1965 to the Academy of Fine Arts. He then appeared at the Salon d'Automne des Tuileries, the Peintres Témoins de Temps, the Société des Peintres Graveurs of which he became honorary president in 1945 to 1958, he had his first solo exhibition in Paris in 1925.
