The spoon, in gilt metal in the rocaille style, is distinguished by its flat shape, contrary to the curvature of modern spoons.
This piece was once part of a three-piece service, also including a matching knife and fork.
A fine example of tableware, in the purest spirit of the decorative arts.
Slight signs of wear visible on the gold highlights.
