Famous artist of the 19th century, 1866 Coburg 1909 Berlin he adored antiquity and had a passion for the neoclassical style. He was awarded a gold medal at the Berlin Art Exhibition and was awarded the Grand Prix d'Etat at the age of 27. He thus obtained a scholarship and traveled to Rome.
