Large Dish From The East India Company, Kien Long

Large Chinese porcelain platter with blue and white decoration, dating from the 18th century, reign of Qianlong. A very beautiful platter in excellent condition, with a majestic floral design that covers the entire surface, including the rim, and is a testament to its quality. Note the amusing presence of a flying insect against the white sky. This collector's item was brought back at great expense in the 18th century by the East India Company for noble families in Europe.
