Very elegant pair of George III period solid silver tripod sauceboats. They are in excellent condition and their hallmarks are very legible. We find the lion passant (925% silver guarantee), the leopard's head for the City of London, the Gothic date letter R for the year 1772 and the master silversmith's mark WC for William Catell. They weigh 365 grams.
