"Sinclair Kirkland : "sewing In The Corner Of The Heart""
Sinclair (19th/20th century): "Sewing by the Hearth", pictorialist silver photograph 23.8 X 29 cm, circa 1900, bearing the dry stamps "Sinclair Kirkland" and "Copyright". Mounted on cardboard, small peripheral accidents from an old disassembly, a light trace of product at the bottom left.
This superb print, with deep but not blocked blacks, is reminiscent of Scottish painters of the same period, shows us a young woman sewing by the fire, her large dog lying at her feet.
