Large pair of lamps made of porcelain vases that were mounted as oil lamps around 1880-1900 then with electricity around 1960.
Made in Japan they are in porcelain called Kutani*, enameled in black, red and gold, the decorations in the main cartouches represent letters and immortals in the Chinese style.
The work is considerable, there is a multitude of details to observe, in egmffet the 4 main decorations are different.
Ready to operate, the lampshades are different but delivered separately in another package.
The bronze mounts are Chinoisant/Japonisant/japonism style and would need to be cleaned.
