Persian Miniature, Large Sheet 19th Century

Large sheet of Persian manuscript certainly telling an episode of one of the mythical stories of this great kingdom with a glorious past, mixing proven facts and poetic fantasy. The magnificent illustration of the text makes us dream with this fantastic bestiary, these sumptuously dressed princes, his camp tents decorated with flags. Persian artists have long maintained this superb tradition of illustration painted according to the aesthetic canons of ancient courts, respecting a learned layout which is reminiscent of our Middle Ages with its miniatures on books of hours. The page is decorated with gouache and discreetly enhanced with gold. It is protected in a sober frame from the 1960s. Perfect condition Dimensions at sight of the sheet: 20cm x 32 cm
