"Art Deco Period "end Table", Signed Louis Majorelle, In Mahogany."
This small coffee table, "end of sofa", is typical of the Art Deco style of the Nancy School, of which Louis Majorelle was one of the founders. The work of his workshops in the 1920s and 1930s, this small piece of furniture is of a sober elegance. The top, with rounded 'falling' edges, is decorated with stylized geometric motifs, enhanced with mother-of-pearl (small shells) and signed 'with the shell': "Majorelle - Nancy". It rests on four legs in the continuity of the 'falls' of the top. The "H" shaped base gives it solidity and elegance. Mahogany table, in very good original condition.
