The Dauphin Louis-Auguste of France (1754-1793), future Louis XVI after the painting by Louis-Michel Van Loo commissioned by the Bâtiments du Roi in 1769. The Duke of Berry is dressed in the French coat in cherry velvet and the sky blue ribbon.
Pastel on paper mounted on an 18th century frame, unsigned.
Frame gilded with gold leaf and original bubble glass.
Note : slight warping of the paper at the top right visible in the photos.
