Sarreguemines, Shoemaker's Smokehouse, Majolica, Tobacco Pot, Smoker
Atypical in the Sarreguemines production intended for smokers, this object which bears the shape number 1800 is in majolica.
If this set includes the usual objects for smokers, tobacco, cigarette and cigar pots as well as the ashtray, they are not presented on a tray but very surprisingly on a wall support.
This rare humorous set was created around 1886-87, withdrawn from production on March 14, 1908.
Visible in the photos, a finger and the hook at the top left are glued back on, two small chips on the frame.
Size: 29 x 25.7 cm.
We were allowed to see on a photo that originally a sign was hung on the hook: "CHO - SSARD Corpdonniai Fai lachaussure pour Dame è fai - z - oci lai - z - enfan"
