The palace was built by Michelozzo for Cosimo de' Medici between 1444 and 1459.
Ink drawing on paper as part of the end-of-year competition of the archaeology class of the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, signed Marcel Doreil and dated 1899 (see cartouche at the top left).
Later blackened wooden frame.
