Volume 2 only - Large IN-8, black percaline - (272 x 180 mm) - framed with two bold and lean blind fillets, covers decorated with five special gilded animal stamps, four of which are placed at the corners, those in the center different on each cover, smooth spine decorated with the same (Publisher's binding) - Hinges and headpiece rubbed - wear at the corners - traces of handling. It was produced by "PJ Stahl" (Pierre-Jules Hetzel) in collaboration with Honoré de Balzac, Antoine Gustave Droz, Émile Lemoine, Jules Janin, Georges Sand, Charles Nodier, Marie Mennessier-Nodier and Alfred de Musset; and illustrated by JJ Grandville (Jean Ignace Isidore Gérard).
