An Italian 925 silver chocolate pot, Milan, last quarter of the 20th century.
Elegant chocolate pot crafted in 925 sterling silver, of Italian manufacture (Milan), dating to the last quarter of the 20th century. The pear-shaped body is richly embossed and chased with rocaille motifs and baroque-style foliage, featuring finely worked surfaces with scrolls, shells, and raised vegetal decorations.
The spout is shaped as a stylized eagle’s head, a decorative element typical of neo-baroque reinterpretations. The lid, also finely chased, is topped with a turned bulb-shaped finial and adorned with floral motifs. The side handle, elongated and mounted horizontally, is made of silver. The chocolate pot rests on three scroll feet embellished with rocaille decorations consistent with the overall ornamentation of the body.
