"Louis XIV Period Cavalry Breastplate"
Heavy wrought iron cavalry breastplate with a busk and brass rivets, decorated with lines. Traces of the unbleached canvas inner lining. Early 18th century. The impact of the test bullet that validated the breastplate before going into the fire can be seen. A very fine example.
