Dutch History painter, mythological scenes, allegorical subjects, portraits, engraver. He was a pupil of JH Brandon, then in 1696 of Robert Duval, then of J. de Baen in The Hague and finally in 1699 of Adrien Van derWerft in Rotterdam whose style he imitated.
