Imperial Japanese Navy Kyu-gunto Sabre
Imperial Japanese Navy sabers, Kyu-Gunto, model 1883. Steel blade, slightly domed with a single edge. The handle is covered with shagreen leather and interwoven with twisted threads along a horizontal groove. The scabbard is made of brown shagreen. The brass parts are decorated with floral motifs. Good condition, minimal wear to the scabbard due to age. Length 83 cm
