Very beautiful period frame in wood and gilded stucco Frame: 156x124x11 cm Canvas: 127x94 cm Robert Eberle (1815-1860) born in Meersburg on Lake Constance, is a painter from the country of Baden in Germany. He was the pupil of the landscape and animal painter Johann Jakob Biedermann in Constance, and settled in 1830 in Munich. He is known for his realistically executed naturalistic works, scenes of the rural countryside and mountain pastures incorporating animals, notably cattle and sheep. He collaborated with the Zuber wallpaper manufacturer on the creation of panoramics.
