Indonesia, Bali island, 1930s-1950s, very pretty solid ebony sculpture representing a Balinese princess's head. Great finesse of execution giving the face and headdress a very beautiful aesthetic. Uncommon piece because Balinese princesses were usually made in hollow to be presented as appliques or resting on a piece of furniture like a mask.
Height 29.5 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand.
Good condition except for very slight wear due to age and without affecting the beautiful aesthetic. No shock or loss. Significant weight due to the density of the wood.
