Pair of Ancient Greek gold lion protome earrings.

Approximately 15 x 15 mm and 17 x 14 mm.

Each earring consists of a curved arc of four twisted smooth gold wires, a stamped gold foil lion protome, and a decoration of twists and petals in filigree gold wire.
The lion's head was the most popular motif in the early Hellenistic period for many pieces of jewelry, especially earrings.
