Large bronze sculpture with several polychrome patinas, entitled "Star in Venice", signed and numbered 5/8, resting on a checkered marble base. Period late 20th century. Arsen AVETISSIAN was born in Yerevan in 1971 and died in 2004. Armenian sculptor, he works bronze and cast iron. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Yerevan. He is a member of the Unity of Painters in Russia as well as Armenia, and a member of the International Federation of Painters of UNESCO. His sculptures are in museums and private collections in many countries. He lived and worked in Saint Petersburg. His sculptures come from the imagination of the artist, the faces are hidden under masks, the bodies are harmonious, the postures and gestures are extremely graceful, expressive and precise. Arsen Avetissian expresses the body language of his characters, as if the sculptures were in motion.
