Allegory Of The Earth. Enameled Porcelain. Hispania Porcelain, Manises, Spain, 20th Century.
Allegory of the Earth. Glazed porcelain. Hispania porcelain, Manises, Spain, 20th century.
With mark on the base.
Glazed porcelain figure with touches of gold representing a half-naked child, accompanied by agricultural elements (plow, etc.) and a sheaf of wheat and fruit, seated on a base clearly reminiscent of the Rococo era on which we can read the text "The Earth", alluding to the allegory that the piece represents. This type of work is inspired by remarkable works of European manufacturers. The Porcelana Hispania factory has produced a series of quality pieces in this same line (animals, Rococo-influenced couples, etc.). -
