Important wall console in carved gilded and polychrome wood Louis XIV period late 17th century. The console represents a cherub with curly hair and delicately carved feather wings ending in a flared base carved with gadroons. Original gold leaf gilding and polychromy in good condition (some old retouching of the gilding) This cherub is an architectural sculpture probably originally part of an altarpiece or an interior of the period (top formerly reported). Italian work from the end of the 17th century.
