Pigeon Throat Opaline High Ring Sizer
Ring box in pink opal crystal "hydrangea", also called "pigeon throat".
It consists of a cup edged in gilded and knurled bronze supporting ten ring hooks.
It rests on a domed pedestal in opaline set in a bronze mount decorated with palmettes.
The two parts are connected by a patinated bronze lyre decorated with olive branches.
Height: 16.5cm.
Diameter of the cup: 11.5 cm
The pink color is obtained by gold seis. It is the Cassius precipitate which is used from 1800.
