Bullfighting poster (note the handwritten mention of the month of May) for a bullfight that will take place on the afternoon of Monday 12th "of the current month" in the bullring of Seville, better known today as the Maestranza. We are aware of the conservation of another identical poster, in a private collection, dated there from 1844, thanks to a newspaper article (Diario de Sevilla, Sunday 29 October 2000, "Romero debuted in La Pañoleta", "The Bullfighting Fair of 1847"). -
