At that time, gentlemen of the Court collected historical portraits with passion. 
This anonymous artist had an exceptional hand, see photos, painting is intact, has not been touched or faded, it is of rare quality.
Placed in a fleurdelysé black wood frame on beginning 19th century, legitimist period circa 1830, it must have participated in the quarrel between Bourbons and Orléans...
