Jaroslav Král was a painter, draftsman and organizer of Czech artistic life in Brno.
His artistic style was influenced by cubism and neoclassicism.
A left-wing activist, he was arrested by the Gestapo during the war, imprisoned in the Kounice College in Brno, in Mírov, in Wrocław and in Auschwitz, where he died.
