Period 1st half of the seventeenth.
It is painted on 2-part panel which have been reinforced by a strong fabric strip.
The board has been recently cleaned, it is ready to be hung.
By choosing to have a work of Jean DUCAYER in his collection of works of art, we own part of the great history of ancient French painting.
Jean DUCAYER is known for his representation of young princesses, queens or ladies.
He exercised his talents between 1605 and 1630.
These portraits are almost always executed on small format panels.
The young women of the nobility have this very particular look that allows you to recognize the hand of this painter: eyes with eyelids a little drooping and a small mouth in the shape of a heart.
Young women often wear a fine lace collar, which is the case for this painting.
This portrait is presented in an old, gilded wood frame.

Format with frame: 45.50 cm x 36 cm.
Format of the panel "à vue": 31 cm x 22 cm.

We are looking for old portraits.

Photos are taken in natural light.
