Portico XVIIIème Era Directoire 1795
Precious portico clock from the end of the 18th century, Directoire period around 1795. Made of white marble and gilded bronze, architecture with two round columns supporting an arch decorated with covered vases. The space between the columns is occupied by a large domed dial in white enamel accompanied by finely worked gilded hands. Adorned with an openwork drapery and a lens pendulum chiseled with a pair of doves symbolizing fidelity.
Original mechanism without modification, wire suspension. No "chamber clock" chime.
