Artist: Hamilton & Co.
A silver wine decanter resting on a raised circular foot decorated with a palmette motif. The flared body is decorated at the base with stylised acanthus leaves and vertical fluting. The narrow neck is richly decorated with a motif of vine branches and grape clusters in embossed and chased silver, extending harmoniously to the handle, also in silver, with a carved terminal in naturalistic style. The silver lid, cast to fit the spout, is removable and has a chased flower-shaped grip on a foliate base.
