Silver-gilt And Enamel Chalice, Birmingham 1880
Rare chalice in silver gilt and enamels in the neo-Gothic style, with a polylobed base decorated with Christian symbols.
The shaft, with a cut body, is topped with a knot enhanced with enameled cabochons forming the name JESUS. The false cup is richly decorated with vine branches chiseled in relief. The cup is engraved, in Gothic characters, with verse 4 of Psalm 115: "Calicem salutaris accipiam et nomen Domini invocabo" (I will take the cup of salvation, and I will call on the name of the Lord), forming a frieze around its upper part.

English work, with hallmarks of the city of Birmingham 1880 and of the master goldsmith with the initials JW (hallmarks on the cup and under the base).
