Exceptional large Tea Coffee Service in solid Silver from the Romantic period. Service composed of its Teapot, Coffee Pot, Covered Sugar Bowl and Pitcher/Creamer, complete with its 4 Pieces with fabulous decoration mainly in applique of aquatic Nymphs framing virgin medallions, scrolls, foliage and feet with garlands of flowers suspended by Putti. Domed lids are surmounted by a finial representing a couple of Turtle Doves resting on leafy and flowering branches.The interiors of the Sugar Bowl and Pitcher are in Vermeil (Gold on Silver).
Masterly hand crafted from the highest quality silver, each piece is punched with the Minerva 1st Standard (.950) hallmark, mark of Master Goldsmith Emile HUGO active in 1853, and also signed in full under base by the Parisian retailer "Brunswick Galerie Colbert". Weighing an exceptional 3,6 kg, this outstanding Romantic period Tea-Coffee Service with its rich and sublime decoration is in good condition, revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, with just small marks and micro-scratches from use to note.
