The carefully crafted wood has a smooth surface with slight ripples that recall the typical wrinkled skin of amphibians. The eyes, inlaid in horn, give the toads a lively and attentive expression.

Harumitsu signature engraved on the base. Complete with box.

Period: Meiji late 19th century.
Dimensions: 14 x 15 x 15 cm.
Condition: Excellent. There is a small opening on the front of the wood.
