Amazing system games table, black and gold Chinese lacquer, late 19th century Console forming a games table, central checkerboard and receptacles for tokens, Decorations of flowers and Asian landscapes in gold on a black background Opens onto a second top with Asian landscape decorations. The legs fold back to reveal a third decoration of a basket of flowers. A cylindrical piece is positioned at the top of the foot in order to raise the game board and keep it horizontal. This can be removed to position the top with landscape decoration and is housed in the base. Several losses to the lacquer and traces of use.
