Silver Vermeil Apostles Spoons
5 spoons including one for sprinkling in vermeil, the spoons are wide and round, the handles are worked in a twist, a figure of an apostle in foot at their end. The oldest known models date back to the end of the 15th century, they were sometimes 13 in number (12 apostles +. Jesus) and were traditionally offered during a baptism. 4 hallmarks origin Germany: including a swan on the handle and 3 on the back of the spoon.
