Bronze Double Characters
We present for sale this interesting sculpture with two characters, entitled "allegory of love", it is represented on the one hand by a young man returning from hunting with his quiver on his side and with a trophy on his back, pheasant or large partridge. He holds by the neck his fiancée or the one who could become her. This sculpture is by a great sculptor of the 19th century Auguste Joseph PEIFFER (1832 - 1886). Very pretty patina, bronze terrace and signature PEIFFER. Beautiful state of conservation. (E24)
