Important Provencal fariniero (Arles or Nimes region) in very nicely carved walnut.
This fariniero opens on the front using a hatch sliding from top to bottom. It rests on nicely carved shell feet and offers a facade decorated with flowered Medici vases, sheaves of wheat, florets, and a heart suggested on the rear pediment.
The handles and rear pediment decorations are openwork.
The uprights are also nicely carved.
No restoration.
A walnut with a superb patina.
