Monique Muylaert is a Belgian artist born in 1946. Ceramicist, wife of the sculptor and ceramicist Herman Muys. Trained at the Academy of Aalst (1964) and at the Institute of Antwerp (1965-1969). Mainly produces ceramic panels on which she executes, through small shapes and subtle elements, refined compositions. In 1968, she became a professor at the Academy of Aalst and from 1971 to 1974 a professor in Hoogstraten. She has produced various monumental works, including for the banqueting hall and the council chamber of the Provincial House of Antwerp. Numerous exhibitions. Bibliography: Piron
