Antique Asian incense burner / perfume burner or oil lamp in bronze with brown / red patina. Representing a sculpture of an oriental elephant carrying an archaic vase (like a caparisoned elephant), ready for the ceremony. We date it from the beginning of the 19th or perhaps 18th century. Origin: Asia (China, Japan, Burma ...). Beautiful original condition, note that the extinguisher above the elephant's trunk is missing (see images).
