An important set of twenty-six albumin photographs, formerly mounted on blue card.
Our collection retraces a journey to Tungusic country, on the borders of China and Eastern Siberia, in the late 19th century. It features a remarkable photograph of a female shaman with an anthropomorphic drum, lively scenes of nomads, herders and merchants, images of numerous vernacular dwellings and a man posing next to a funerary stele (Kyrgyzstan).
A set of thirteen plates comprising twenty-six albumen prints (17 x 12 cm).
