The Virgin of Milk or Nursing Virgin, also known as the Welcoming Virgin or its Latin name Virgo lactans is one of the iconographic variants of Christian and Orthodox painting of the theme of the Virgin and Child. No restoration visible on the canvas. A change of varnish was carried out because the old one was very yellowed by time, the painting gained color and brightness. The chassis was changed and reinforcing strips were added for better tension for its conservation. Carved wooden frame from the 18th century.
