Pair of walnut veneered empire chests of drawers, Lucca first quarter of the 19th century. Tops in shaped Verde Alpi marble, ebonized under-top band, three drawers on the front, herm uprights with caryatids with faces and feet in gilded bronze. Coffered feet embellished with carved and gilded tablet leaf elements and resting on ebonized plinths. The two golden perimeter frames are also made of pastille, one leafy and the other podded. Lion face handles in gilded bronze. Partially recovered gilding. Poplar interior.
