Tea cup with lid and saucer in fine porcelain, decorated with polychrome and gold. The walls of the cup, with its undulating shape, the domed lid and the saucer are adorned with rich scalloped panels and foliage motifs inspired by Russian folk art, depicting stylised flowers and foliage painted in turquoise blue, purplish pink and emerald green enamels, enhanced with bright gold and burnished gold. The lid’s handle takes the form of an open, gilded corolla, and the sinuous handle is accented with gold.
Signed by the artists Vorobjovskij (design) and Besednaja (painting), dated 1999 and marked with the manufacturer’s red monogram on the base.
