Pair Of Marble Angels - Genoa, 17th Century
Pair of marble angels - Genoa, 17th century
Splendid pair of white marble angels.
They show typical characteristics of Baroque art, such as a sense of movement and emotional expression.
Cherubic angels are depicted with flowing draperies, soft and rounded shapes, conveying a sense of divine grace and innocence.
Their poses suggest that they may have originally been part of a larger architectural or religious ensemble, perhaps adorning a sculpture or altar.
They have shortcomings, visible in the photos, but this does not diminish their beauty.
To display them we have created an iron base with double height rods (not included in the price).
Genoese baroque art, second half of the 17th century.
Dimensions: height cm. 31 and 26.5 - width cm. 21.5 and 17.5 - depth cm. 13.5 and 12
